Meet the “Commander”- The founder:
Dr. Commander Selvam, also known as Swamiji Sri Selvam Siddhar, an Indian American Celebrity, philanthropist, Humanitarian, High Priest with millions of followers, the Only Atharva Vedic Science scholar( a 7000 years old Indian American Spiritual science) in the whole nation, founded the highest circulated Indian American spiritual media called as “ Karma” ( www.karmamagazine.org)founded the Biggest Lord Shiva Temple in the Nation ,and of course  too much more to talk about his dedication to the human mankind and the community …………….
 As a high priest of Shiva Vishnu Temple of Georgia he has preached and followed high ethics of dedication to the community and has brought his practices to the Dayton community. Even though business has pulled out of Dayton as well as the downtown area he has merely seen this as a challenge to be embraced rather than run from. His mission and goal is to revive the Dayton area’s economy and help Dayton’s community to grow while upholding and defending the truth. He believes the downtown area is the perfect place to start. This venture is only one way I am trying to revive the Dayton area. He also have redesigned and renovated the famous Olive Road Flea Market, which was completely ran down and vandalized. While others have pulled their money, investments and jobs out of Dayton, he has opened and renovated spaces already existing in Dayton and brought jobs back to the community. He would love to invite you to come and see all that he has done as well as tell him how you think we can help revive Dayton, after all it has to start somewhere and while this maybe a small step in the right direction for Dayton it is still a step in the right direction.
Meet the place:
Commander’s Cantina is operating in the historical former First National Bank building downtown, but more specifically in the former Quizno’s store inside the same building . The building is now famously called as “ Paru Tower and owned by “Commander’s family”
We are located at 38 N. Main st. Dayton, Ohio 45402 right next to the all-new Downtown Grocery and Café. This building has approximately over a 100 year history in Dayton. First founded as a 15 story bank building it has had numerous changes in the many decades and finally a small portion of the street level building has been converted as the only Indo-Mexican restaurant in the nation. We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.  We feature a very high end bar open till midnight every night ( up to 12.00 Mid night). It is managed by professionals with a heavy background in managing large chain restaurants and staffed by the most friendly and attractive bar staff known to Dayton. So what are you waiting for let’s get downtown to the party!!
Meet the Company:
Commander’s Cantina, Downtown Grocery and Café, Olive Road Flea Market, and The Hindu Temple of Ohio are all ventures to better the Dayton Community. Dr. Selvam is completely committed to the revival of Dayton and as such has opened not one but several businesses hoping to bring back jobs and community involvement for Dayton. Each one of these businesses could have been built anywhere in Dayton but rather than tear down buildings and create more chaos for Dayton he has repurposed existing structures, preserving the buildings integrity and history.
